I am a 76-year-old man who recently had cataract surgery. In Jul 2025, I went to the DMV to renew my license, which required an eye test. My vision was bad, but I thought I could pass the test, which didnt happen. I went to Harvard Eye for stronger prescription glasses. Although I could hardly see the chart, I passed the eye exam on the second DMV visit. In Aug 2025, I set an appointment with Dr. Kim, and we discussed cataract surgery. Dr. Kim was reluctant since I have had little to no sight in my left eye since childhood. At that point, we agreed to revisit cataract surgery. In Feb 2026, we agreed to the surgery. On Mar 31, 2026, I had surgery with the best results I could have hoped for. I now see vibrant colors, road signs, and a golf ball beyond 50 yards. Dr. Kim was not only confident in his ability to perform the surgery but also reassuring throughout the process. The cataract surgery I had at Harvard Eye was the most exceptional result for my eyesight during my lifetime.
